It’s not a hobby, it’s my career! It’s what I’m passionate about and what fuels my soul. I love cultivating confidence in women. It’s more than just hair or vanity. I get to watch each woman in my chair transform and take their power back. It’s a beautiful thing really. 🤍

When I was in high school, my teachers would ask me what I planned on doing post graduation. They always seemed a bit underwhelmed when I told them I wanted to be a hair stylist. 😏
They would say- ‘You’re so smart Melissa, you should go to college and get a business degree first.’… or ‘You could always go to beauty school, after college, if you still wanted to’ as if simply ‘Doing Hair’ didn’t qualify as a real career. Those type of comments actually fueled my desire to be successful.

Fast-forward 20 years, yes 20 Years later… I can proudly say I own a SUCCESSFUL and THRIVING business. I get to love women to life! And let me tell you how much it feeds my soul. It is part of who I am and I have no regrets. I’m so proud of what I’ve built and blessed by every woman who sits in my chair today.

Moral of the story- I know my teachers had my best interests in mind but they didn’t see my vision. Not everyone is gonna see your vision or support your dreams. But that’s why they’re YOUR dreams. Give your self permission to dream wildly and let them watch your dreams come true. 🥹 And it’s never too late to go after your goals! 💗

I love a good bronde!

This particular client came to me looking to repair her over processed hair and add some length/volume with extensions. I only used lighter strategically to frame her face. I lowlighted the rest of her hair to create dimension using Demi-permanent hair color. This way I could condition her hair and seal that cuticle. We popped in ✌🏼rows of extensions to give length to her disconnected hair.

She was so happy to have a lower maintenance lived in color that could grow out beautiful without harsh lines or demarcation.
